2012 Baltimore combo forward Isaiah Miles has been turning heads this summer with his play, and in particular his shooting.

In addition to a busy July basketball travel schedule, Miles hopes to take some visits before he starts his senior year in September. Isaiah recently took an unofficial visit to an Atlantic 10 school and has several other visits planned.

The 6’7 forward, who runs with the Nike Baltimore Elite, had an impressive showing in May at the EYBL event in Los Angeles. Isaiah will be competing with Baltimore Elite at the Peach Jam in the middle of July, and also traveling to Orlando at the end of July for AAU Nationals.

Two weekends ago, Isaiah Miles and his family traveled up I-95 to take an unofficial visit to Saint Joseph’s. According to Isaiah’s father, Eric Miles, the visit went very well. When explaining the reason for the enjoyable visit, Eric said that, “Coach Martelli and Coach Duda presented the school well and said what they needed to say.”

While the visit to Hawk Hill went very well, it is not the only visit on the horizon for him. In the near future, Isaiah plans to visit Virginia Tech, where assistant coach Rob Ehsan is coordinating the recruitment. In addition to Virginia Tech, Eric Miles said that Isaiah hopes to visit Wake Forest, West Virginia, and Maryland prior to school starting back up. These visits will come on the heels of the Saint Joseph’s visit, and also visits to Loyola (MD), Towson, and George Mason among others.

When ultimately deciding on a school, Isaiah has an open mind when it comes to conference affiliation. Location could be a factor in his decision, although all of the schools heavily involved with Isaiah at the moment are within driving distance of his Maryland home. As of now, the plan is for Isaiah to sign in the fall so that he can be focused solely on his senior season. This senior season will see a change of scenery, as Isaiah has transferred from Glenelg Country School in Howrd County, Maryland to Milford Mill Academy in Baltimore.

If Isaiah’s strong play continues during the July live period, expect some of the schools lightly recruiting him at the moment to come on strong, and new schools to look to jump into the mix. As it stands now, Saint Joseph’s is just one of many schools hoping to land the sweet-shooting forward.
